Saint Jude Prayers
Saint Jude Prayers is a collection of Prayers and Novenas dedicated to Saint Jude, also known as "The brother of Jesus". Saint Jude is patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.
We do not pray "to" Saint Jude, rather we invoke him to intercede for us at the Throne of Jesus because of the special relationship he has in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is generally identified with Thaddeus, and is also variously called Jude of James, Jude Thaddaeus, Judas Thaddaeus or Lebbaeus. He is sometimes identified with Jude, "brother of Jesus", but is not Judas Iscariot, another disciple, the betrayer of Jesus.
In the Roman Catholic Church Saint Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes. The Armenian Apostolic Church honors Thaddeus along with Saint Bartholomew as its patron saints. Jude is the saint of the impossible.
Saint Jude's is often symbolized with a club in his hand. The flame around the head of Jude in his images represents that he was at Pentecost with the other apostles when the Holy Spirit fell on them. This is when Jude received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. Another common representation is St. Jude holding an image of Jesus Christ, in the image of Edessa. Sometimes Saint Jude is shown with a scroll or a book (the Epistle of Jude) or holding a carpenter's rule.
Here you will find a collection of the most well known Saint Jude Prayers asking him to pray and intercede for us.
